நினைத்ததை  முடிப்பவன்    9.5.1975    மலரும்  நினைவுகள் .

1971 ஜூன்  மாதம்   இப்படத்தின்  முழு பக்க விளம்பரம்  வெளிவந்தது . 1971  அக்டோபர்   மாதம்  காஷ்மீரில்  பூ  மழைத்தூவி  பாடலும் , காஷ்மீர்  ஏரியில்  ஒருவர் மீது ஒருவர்  சாய்ந்து  பாடல்  காட்சிகள்  படமாக்கப்பட்டது .

1972ல்   நினைத்ததை  முடிப்பவன்  படம் வெளியாகும்  என்று  எதிர்பார்க்கப்பட்டது .

சில தவிர்க்க  இயலாத காரணங்களால்  படம் 1974 ல் மீண்டும் துரிதமாக படமாக்கப்பட்டு  9.5.1975ல் வெளியாகியது .

Last week our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR movies were re-released in many parts of Tamil Nadu. This week also many of his movies are released in malls and theatres.

Enga Veetu Pillai in digital format released in Mahalakshmi theatre from 6th Friday.

Oriental pictures digitized movie Ninaithathai Mudipavan is been released in AVM Rajeswari and now it is now reaching combined 50th day. Above is ad from today’s Daily Thanthi and below is the poster.

As cinema industry is in strike, the theatres are lookout for  movies. And many MGR movies are released in malls and cinemas.

Ninaithathai Mudipavan is running successfully in AGS cinemas, Villivakkam. The digitized version of Enga Veetu Pillai is released in Albert theatre as two shows.

Next week Emgeeyar Pictures digitized version in 4K resolution “Nadodi Mannan” will be released in Albert and Bharath.

சென்னை,

சென்னை பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில், இதுவரை பல பெரிய தலைவர்கள் பெயரில் ஆய்வு இருக்கைகள் அமைக்கப்பட்டு செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது. இதன் மூலம் அந்த தலைவர்கள் பற்றி மாணவர்கள் ஆய்வு செய்ய வசதியாக இருக்கிறது. தற்போது எம்.ஜி.ஆர். நூற்றாண்டு விழா நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.

ஆனால், அவர் மறைந்து 30 ஆண்டுகள் ஆனபிறகும், அவர் பற்றி ஆய்வுகள் மேற்கொள்ள முடியவில்லை என சைதை துரைசாமியின் மனித நேய மையத்தின் வழியாக ‘சிவில் சர்வீஸ்’ தேர்வு எழுதும் மாணவர்கள் மூலம் அவருக்கு தெரிய வந்தது. இதற்கு காரணம் அவர் பெயரில் ஆய்வு இருக்கை இல்லை என்று மாணவர்கள் தெரிவித்தனர்.

ரூ.25 லட்சம் வழங்கினார்

இதைத் தொடர்ந்து, சைதை துரைசாமி உடனடியாக சென்னை பல்கலைக்கழகத்தை தொடர்பு கொண்டு எம்.ஜி.ஆர். பெயரில் ஆய்வு இருக்கை அமைக்க ரூ.25 லட்சத்தை அவர் தலைமையில் இயங்கி வரும் மனிதநேய மையத்தின் சார்பில் வழங்கினார். இதற்கான ஒப்புதல் சென்னை பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் நேற்று நடைபெற்ற ‘சிண்டிகேட்’ கூட்டத்தில் வழங்கப்பட்டது. ‘பாரத ரத்னா புரட்சி தலைவர் எம்.ஜி.ஆர். ஆய்வு இருக்கை’ என்ற பெயரில் இந்த இருக்கை செயல்படும்.

இது குறித்து சைதை துரைசாமி நிருபர்களிடம் கூறியதாவது:-

Many old movies are being digitized and re-released frequently. Couple of years back we observed many of our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR starrer movies such as Nadodi Mannan, Adimai Penn and Ulagam Sutrum Valiban were digitized and released over South India. Recently Rickshawkaran was re-released in digital and DTS format.

This week 16.6.2017, Oriental Pictures "Ninaithathai Mudipavan" was released in 15 theatres in around Chennai city. The film distributor had given many ads in leading newspapers for this digital delight. The response is good. More news will be published in our blog soon.

An Evening With MGR’s Bodyguard

For the past one week Chennai city is having dual climate like our Puratchi Thalaivar dual action movies. In the morning it is hot and humid in the evening it is breezy and rainy. One of these days I had a chance to visit and meet MGR’s bodyguard K.P.Ramakrishnan. He is now 86 years old still active and healthy.

His son R.Govindaraj took me to his private room, a large portrait of our MGR took half of the space, he introduced me, the very first word K.P.Ramakrishnan sir said is MGR and he blessed me for my work.

K.P.Ramakrishnan sir talked about his close association with our Puratchi Thalaivar from the 1950s. He had worked nearly in all his movies as one of the stunt men or a character role or as MGR double when MGR is facing the camera and if the shot is not masked.

He also said that our Puratchi Thalaivar suffered lot of hindrances while touring Tamil Nadu from 1953 to 1977. The five bodyguards looked at our Thalaivar well being.

The talk went to movie he told MGR took utmost care while shooting fight scenes. He always double checks the stunt performance before going for the take, sometimes he has to do home work, one such scene is the walking scene in Neerum Nerupum movie.

K.P.Ramakrishnan mentioned one incident in the movie Ninaithathai Mudipavan, involving knee pad, the production assistant had given 150 rupees worth foreign knee pad for MGR and 25 rupees knee pad to Ramakrishnan, before take MGR asked to show the knee pad he is wearing, with little hesitation he showed, MGR became angry and asked them to provide same kind of costly and protective knee pad to Ramakrishnan and then only he will go for the take. The scene had lot of diving and sliding the knee pad is vital for that scene there are also chances that the knee will be injured during such scenes. Ramakrishnan sir eyes glistened when he told this incident, MGR cared so much for co actors.

I asked about Ulagam Sutrum Vaaliban climax scene he said MGR planned a very different climax scene having fight in a mirror room, but he changed it to skating sequence. Ramakrishnan sir said he and Asokan daily practised skating, in the movie MGR did 99% of the stunt.

During action scenes involving jumping or falling from a balcony MGR will come up to the balcony for checking and asks the stunt director about the precautionary measures for that stunt. If he feels something will go wrong he will break the shots into two, one before fall from balcony another hitting the floor in this way he reduces the chances of accident.

Ninaithathai Mudipavan

Recently crystal clear print, Oriental Pictures Ninaithathai Mudipavan was telecasted in Murasu TV on 19th January. Here are some of the images captured during the movie.

MGR dons dual role one as Villager and Band Master Sundaram and Diamond smuggler Ranjith. This is a rare character of MGR doing a negative role. The story starts with Sundaram has a physically challenged sister enacted by Saradha, nobody wish to marry her because of her disability. One comes up to marry her if he is paid a high dowry, Sundaram then plans to go to the city to earn money.

   
Same time the Police is waiting to get a solid proof of Ranjith’s involvement  in stealing diamonds. The Police comes with a plan of lady police Manjula to be introduced as Queen who has diamond mines. They all go and attend the function of disguise party. Band master Sundaram on his visit to the city was mistaken as Ranjith and was asked to attend the function.  Also Ranjith comes in disguise and taken aback by the resemblance of Sundaram. He plans to use his look alike to confuse the police in his future plans. During the function Ranjith calls his aides to fetch Sundaram and take him to his home.

Sundaram is introduced to Manjula and a beautiful philosophical song follows. After the party Sundaram is taken by his aides and he meets the boss Ranjith.

A little about the character of Ranjith he is a cool and calculative boss. Does not show his feelings and uses others to his goal. Sundaram who is a naive villager tells about his visit and Ranjith uses his manipulative speech and charisma and gets consent of Sundaram to act as Ranjith for some days. A salary was fixed for Sundaram’s performance. As he is a villager Latha who is the lover of Ranjith teaches him to read, write and speak English and changes his appearance to resemble Ranjith. In due course the salary is sent to Sundaram residence but his Aunt ill treats his sister and one day heavy rain lashes the village and the aunt dies. Saradha becomes an orphan and with her dog goes in search of his brother Sundaram.

  

Birthday of Ranjith was celebrated and in place of Ranjith, Sundaram takes up and he goes in dealing with the diamond smuggling, police comes up during the diamond exchange and Nambiyar who is a police officer shoots Ranjith and he gets hit in the leg and immobilizes him for one month. Sundaram was asked to attend the office and he meets Thengai Srinivasan who first gave Sukku Coffee on his arrival to the city. Sundaram gives 500 rupees cheque to him as a token of love (re creating MGR’s off screen benevolence).

One day while Sundaram was taught about fencing lessons happens to see a marriage procession, he escapes and sing to his content on seeing the physically challenged girl as the bride groom. His sister see this and tries to reach his brother but he is whisked away by Latha. Then Saradha meets some bad guys on her way and is saved by Nambiyar! who takes her to his home and gives shelter.

Ranjith after recuperating comes to know that Sundaram sister is in the city and goes to the police officer home when he is away and gets Nambiyar mother permission to take his sister. The dog easily understands that Ranjith is not Sundaram and the dog runs behind Ranjith car, but Ranjith’s aides tries to kill the dog and it escapes from their plan. 

  

Sundaram in Ranjith’s office calls Manjula and fixes a place to meet, now the police hatches a plan by giving truth speaking pills with the juice to Ranjith so that he will tell all his activities then he can be arrested. But the plan fails as both Sundaram and Manjula drinks the juice and they speak about their love, a mesmerizing duet song follows.

  

Sundaram comes to know the real colour of Ranjith and does a fight to uphold justice but was over powered and Ranjith uses his trump card of Sundaram sister. Finally Sundaram accepts Ranjith’s plan.

The diamond exhibition takes place Ranjith uses his special formula and steals the diamonds and jewellery along with the gold pedant having a receiver transmitting the where about of the jewelry. At the last minute Sundaram who acted as he had tasted the coke springs up and hits Ranjith from the back, Ranjith become unconscious, Sundaram as Ranjith enters the hide out and finds that his sister is in custody. After Ranjith wakes up and understands that he is outwitted by a villager rushes to make it right and a fight takes place but the police enters the scene and Ranjith who is very calculative and shrewd now acts as that he is the innocent villager Sundaram. Police and his sister gets confused and arrests both of them.

In the court after many enquires and a final resort police uses Ranjith’s mother as the bait and Ranjith tells the truth and also his back ground why he became a diamond smuggler.

Sundaram is released and marriage of Nambiyar and Saradha takes place the marriage procession continues over a head title appears “Ninaithathai Mudithavan”.

MGR dual action movie Ninaithathai Mudipavan was re-released in Anna theater, within one month after it was released in Mahalakshmi theater.

Above is the housefull board display taken on Sunday evening show. Housefull of MGR movie on Sunday evening show is considered good but with capacity of 350 seats in Anna is not a great performance since the same movie was housefull in Mahalakshmi theater in its previous release which had a capacity of 900 plus seats. The great news is for us is the crowd that came to watch the movie and 2/3rd of them returned because of housefull.

Previous week Oriental Pictures Ninaithathai Mudipavan was re-released in Mahalakshmi theater. The Sunday evening show was housefull. As usual all MGR Devotees and MGR Fans celebrated the release of MGR movie.

Re Release Ninaithathai Mudipavan III

MGR movie Ninaithathai Mudipavan was re-released previous week in Mahalakshmi theater. The video below was captured by me for the Friday matinee show.

 

The video clip is the meeting of two MGR characters Sundaram and Ranjith. All the persons will be in different costumes and Sundaram is mistaken as Ranjith. And when real Ranjith comes up for the function he has another plan.

 

The character Ranjith is a diamond smuggler he uses his look like Sundaram against Police. Here in the video clip, look how Ranjith character played by MGR, dominates Sundaram right from the start through his body language, dialogues and camera angle. People enjoyed the dashing entry performance of MGR as Ranjith, unique to drama introduction.

 

After this movie release many MGR Fans christened their new born male child as Ranjith.

Re-Release Ninaithathai Mudipavan II

MGR dual action movie Ninaithathai Mudipavan was re-released this week in Mahalakshmi theater. The video embed here is from the Friday matinee show that I have captured.

The Sunday evening show was housefull, the images and videos captured by MGR Devotee Sathya will be uploaded soon. The collection till Sunday night show is Rs.40000 plus. Some one asking for proof for housefull show and collection contact the Otteri Nadigar Thilagam fans who will tell you the same, that will be more authentic.

Re-Release Ninaithathai Mudipavan

MGR dual action movie Ninaithathai Mudipavan was re-released in Mahalakshmi theater this week. I went to the matinee show yesterday and captured some videos. Here is the one video captured during the first scene of the movie.

 

 

The print was good but not excellent I have uploaded 70 MB version of the first scene.

 

The scene is intro of Sister character Saradha, after the rejection and humiliation you can see how MGR reacts in that two seconds, no close up shot to show his facial expression and two steps by MGR to comfort her with words and finally a brother hug. Also watch how MGR fans react to that scene.

 

The titles appear over Two Leaves symbol the first MGR movie to show the ADMK victory symbol. The movie was released on 9.5.1975 all over South.

MGR Devotee Tirupur Ravichandran has forwarded some tit bits (1 to 4) about our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR.

1. Previous week Southern movies Baghdad Thirudan was re-released in Coimbatore Royal and did good business. The overall collection for one week is Rs.81,000/-

2. Today KTV telecasted Enga Veetu Pillai in High Definition and the print was so sharp.

3. Today Daily Thanthi carried an ad about the coming of Oli Vilakku to silver screen. The ad is given below.

4. Times of India dated 10.6.2012; in Section: Times City; Page: 4 has published an article about the rivalry of Puratchi Thalaivar MGR and Nadigar Thilagam Fans. The important participants are S.S.Perumal from Kalaiventhan MGR Bakthargal Trust and Murali from Nadigar Thilagam Fan group.

5. Oriental Pictures Ninaithathai Mudipavan was re-released in Mahalakshmi theater this week. I went for the matinee show and the print was good. The videos and images will be uploaded in the next post. I saw nearly 450 members for the matinee show the ticket price is Rs.13 and Rs.15.

No garlands! (time - 2.30 pm.) Some of MGR Fans were fixing MGR Fans club banners when I entered the theater.

Re-Release of MGR Movies II

Two MGR movies were released in Chennai City alone this week. Leading Newspapers have written article about the re-release of MGR movies and the collection.

 

 

Yesterday I have updated the article written by Times of India, MGR Devotee Yukesh Babu informed me that Maalaimalar also written the same article. I have provided the article above from Maalaimalar digital edition.

Oriental Pictures Ninaithathai Mudipavan was released this Friday in Mahalakshmi Theater. The theater was almost full by 6.45 pm.

Kalaiventhan MGR Bakthargal garlanded all the MGR images. Crackers were busted and traffic was halted for 5 minutes.

Nearby Mahalakshmi is Saravana Theater, they also released MGR movie Adimai Penn. With help of MGR Devotee Yukesh Babu I was able to take some images after the movie have started. This is the fifth consecutive week of MGR movie release in Saravana.

Re-release Ninaithathai Mudipavan

Oriental Pictures Ninaithathai Mudipavan was re-released by AVM Productions in Natraj this week. As this is election time in India MGR Fans were talking about the coalition between the parties.

The theater was almost full, 3 main MGR images were garlanded followed by firing crackers in the street.

Balcony ticket was only available after 6.15 pm.

The songs in this film was nicely tuned, MGR fans asked once more for கண்ணை நம்பாதே and ஒருவர் மீது. First song repeated for three times and second one for two times.
