A Day With MGR's Bodyguard

I have already visited MGR's bodyguard Mr.K.P.Ramakrishnan house some 4 years back and I have given a detailed post about the visit, covering many aspects and unknown facts about our beloved Puratchi Thalaivar MGR.

This time on 7th September I made a visit and met K.P.Ramakrishnan now in his early 90s looks active and eager to share the anecdotes from MGR life. In this post, I am not going to delve into what K.P.Ramakrishnan had told me but I want to share my cherished moment, of receiving a signed copy of his new book "Endrum Vazhum MGR" from his own hands, a significant moment in my life.

Many might already know that the royalty of the book is been given to charity. The book has 256 pages, with a lot of photographs, the author has dedicated the book to other MGR bodyguards M.K.Dharmalingam, N.Sankar, Narthar Singh, Muthu & V.P.Samy. The book is published by Vikatan Publications. The cost of the book is Rs.175/-

Ponmanachemmal MGR Temple in Nathamedu celebrated its 9th year anniversary. Throngs of devotees all over the State and some from foreign paid their visit on 15th August 2019.
