Amalraj Pictures hit movie of 1974 Netru Indru Nalai is re-released this week in Mahalakshmi theatre. I took couple of pictures outside the hall. I like to share one which is posted below.

Apart from our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR's double action roles the movie has many political dialogues and mesmerizing songs. In one song "Thambi Naan" MGR's political party's first electoral victory was recorded. Posted below is the MGR's philosophical song hinting on DMK's political atrocities of 70s.

Re Release Dharmam Thalai Kaakum

Sri MGR Year 96, 20th September, Friday

Fifth movie of MGR Devar combo Dharmam Thalai Kakum is re-released this week in Mahalakshmi theater. MGR acts as a Doctor who is generous and serves the poor. The pair is Saroja Devi and villain is Asokan. MGR character name is Chandran.

Dharmam Thalai Kaakum movie has recently celebrated its Golden Jubilee.

 

 

The movie has memorable songs, the most famous philosophical song Dharmam Thalai Kaakum and the duet song Thottu Vida Thottu Vida are embed below.

Re Release Pallandu Vazhga

Sri MGR Year 96, 17th April Wednesday

Udhayam Productions, MGR starrer and Shantaram’s Do Aankhe Barah Hath Tamil version Pallandu Vazhga re-released in Mahalakshmi theater this week.

 

 

 

 

The movie had a good opening and the Sunday show was almost full (Theater capacity 900+)  Sunday was Tamil New Year and MGR devotees and fans it is a treat to watch MGR movie.

 

 

 

 

The celebration was as usual. MGR Devotee Sathya had captured some images and videos of this celebration and as well as the response of people when MGR appeared on the silver screen.

The re-release print of Pallandu Vazhga is very bad. We have watched movies of Guava colour, Eastman colour and Technique colour, the colour movies of MGR which are re-released now a days is called MGR colour. The full frame is pinkish. Below is the example of that MGR colour print.

Oru Thai Makkal

Sri MGR Year 96, 11th April, Thursday

MGR Black and White movie Oru Thai Makkal re-released this week in Mahalakshmi theater. MGR Devotee Sathya had forwarded some images and one video of this movie captured in Mahalakshmi theater.

 

 

 

The movie had lot of cuts but the print was good. Much better when compared to Alibabavum Narpathu Thirudargalum, Raman Thediya Seethai, Netru Indru Nalai, Olivilakku etc.

 

 

As usual MGR devotees had garlanded MGR’s cut out and many MGR fans association have placed their respective banners.

 

This movie was under long time production.

Re Release Netru Indru Nalai II

Re Release Enga Veetu Pillai

MGR dual action movie Enga Veetu Pillai was re-released previous week in Mahalakshmi theater.

 

 

The print was not good. Below are some of the images captured by MGR Devotee Sathya in Mahalakshmi theater.

Re-Release Ninaithathai Mudipavan

Sri MGR Year 95, 16th June, Saturday

MGR dual action movie Ninaithathai Mudipavan was re-released in Mahalakshmi theater this week. I went to the matinee show yesterday and captured some videos. Here is the one video captured during the first scene of the movie.

 

 

The print was good but not excellent I have uploaded 70 MB version of the first scene.

 

The scene is intro of Sister character Saradha, after the rejection and humiliation you can see how MGR reacts in that two seconds, no close up shot to show his facial expression and two steps by MGR to comfort her with words and finally a brother hug. Also watch how MGR fans react to that scene.

 

The titles appear over Two Leaves symbol the first MGR movie to show the ADMK victory symbol. The movie was released on 9.5.1975 all over South.

Thaiku Pin Tharam Re-Release II

Sri MGR Year 95, 18th March, Sunday

 

Thaiku Pin Tharam was re-released last week in Mahalakshmi Theater. We have already published the first part, this post  will be about the acting talent that our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR have given in this movie.

 

 

Still many point out that MGR is not a good actor. (Because MGR always closes his face during crying scene) Here in this video captured in theater shows MGR’s performance, for those who mention that MGR is not an actor he cannot perform such feats.

 

Here in the above video MGR’s father was killed by a bull and MGR cries and finally vows to avenge his father’s death. Also watch how MGR fans enjoy this scene.

 

When you replay this video you can also see that how carefully MGR performs this act, and he actually falls over the burning pyre before that he adjusts his hair so that it wont catch fire. Two cameras are used in this breathtaking scene.

Thaiku Pin Tharam Re-Release

Sri MGR Year 95, 12th March, Monday

 

Devar Films first production with MGR in the lead was Thaiku Pin Tharam. The movie hit the silver screen in 1956.

 

 

The movie which is 56 years old is being re-released in Chennai this week in Mahalakshmi Theater from 9.3.2012. Although publicized as new print it is not, but good one. The above image is the poster of that movie.

 

 

 

Thaiku Pin Tharam was one of MGR’s super hit movie of 1956. The movies that were released in 1956 are Alibabavum Narpathu Thirudargalum, Madurai Veeran and Thaiku Pin Tharam all the three movies had crossed hundred days.

 

 

MGR philosophical song in Thaiku Pin Tharam was Manushana Manushan Sapidaranda Thambi payale captured by me in Mahalakshmi Theater.

Here are two videos from the movie Netru Indru Nalai the print quality was not up the mark I have to manually increase the brightness, so please pardon for the picture quality.

The first video is the dialogue between MGR and Nambiyar, MGR dialogues which are one liner and are overlapped by Fans uproar.

Thambi nan padichen song

Powerful words used in this song to give confidence to MGR Fans it suits now also, please look into the words "Yeipavarkay kalam endru ennividathay" and "oru nal intha nilamaiku ellam" and see how the fans react. You can see being ADMK flag  shown two times in this video by ADMK member in front of me.

Re-release Netru Indru Nalai II

Sri MGR Year 93, 18th April Sunday

This ad from Daily Thanthi digital edition.The movies running this week in Chennai are Netru Indru Nalai in Mahalakshmi, Ithayaveenai in Saravana, Thanipiravi in Batcha (Minerva), Dharmam Thalai Kakum in Ambattur Murugan and Ninaithathai Mudipavan in Padi Lakshmi and MGR Function organised by Ithayakani magazine was also going on that Sunday.

The show started at 6 pm most of the MGR Fans and Devotees were celebrating out side the theater, I took some videos from the front and just came in to see the start of the movie. You can hear cracker sound during Padum Pothu Nan song they did not know that the movie has started.

The celebration was going outside but the movie has started here is the video for the song Padum Pothu, you can hear the cracker sounds too along with cry of MGR Fans. Pardon for the picture quality since the print is very bad I have to increase the brightness as much as possible, you can see a ghost like appearance two times during the song, that is the ADMK flag raised by a MGR Devotee in front of me.
