Platinum Jubilee IX

Sri MGR Year 93, 30th August, Monday

 

And finally 29th Morning MGR fans from all over Tamilnadu, Pondichery, Karnataka, Malaysia and Singapore gathered in Chennai for the Mega Event of 2010 the Platinum Jubilee Celebration (MGR in Cinema 1936 to 2010).

 

 

 

Morning MGR Fans meet was held in Samuthaya Nala Koodum in Royapettah. Nearly 300 MGR Fans participated. Various suggestions and down memory lane of MGR moments were shared by MGR Fans and MGR Devotees.

 

 

 

After hurried meals everyone left for the Function in Kamarajar Arangam.

 

 

 

The environment was purely MGR, MGR, MGR in all direction, nearly 3 dozen cut outs were kept by various MGR Fans Association.

 

 

 

 

 

The Platinum Jubilee Function started with MGR Photo Exhibition various styles of MGR Images were properly exhibited and most people were awestruck by the charm of MGR.

 

The Photo Exhibition was inaugurated by K.Rajan (Producer)

 

 

 

Most of the photos were designed by MGR Devotee Venkat and Murali.

Platinum Jubilee Ticket Sale

Sri MGR Year 93, 27th August, Friday

 

The ticket sale has commenced for the Platinum Jubilee Celebration to be held in Chennai on 29th August 2010 in Kamarajar Arangam.

 

 

The Tickets are priced at Rs.100/- Rs.200/- and Rs.300/- are available those who wanted to book please call the mobile numbers printed in the image.

 

The function starts at 2 pm and ends by 10 pm. Eight hours of MGR Entertainment.

Platinum Jubilee VIII

Sri MGR Year 93, 25th August, Wednesday

For the Platinum Jubilee Celebration of MGR in Cinema is going to be held in Chennai on 29th August in Kamarajar Arangam and on behalf of Urimaikural MGR Magazine MR.Raamamoorthi of Vellore cordially invited The Chancellor of VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) Mr.G.Viswanathan who has graced various posts such as M.P., M.L.A. and Minister.

Mr.G.Viswanathan will be the Chief Guest for the Platinum Jubilee function of our beloved Leader MGR.

Punch Dialogs and One Liners V

Sri MGR Year 93, 16th August Monday

 

Two months back I was asking MGR Devotee Sailesh Basu and others to give suggestions for the Punch dialogs video, mostly they told about including videos and other images relating to the movie. I tried all and was looking to do even better. Last month I got a chance of trying an animation software. As I do not have any basic knowledge of animation I tried, the animation part comes to 54 seconds but a novice like me it took 25 days to complete and making many mistakes. Next time I will be doing it much faster, sorry for the delay in uploading Punch dialogs.

Platinum Jubilee VII

Sri MGR Year 93, 10th August, Tuesday

MGR Fans Meet of Vellore District for the Platinum Jubilee Celebration in Chennai (75th year of MGR in Cinema) was held on 1st August in Asiriyar Ilam, Vellore, more than 200 fans participated in the Function.

The news was flashed in Jaya TV and various Tamil Dailies.

 

United North Arcot District Manitheneya Makkal Thilagam MGR Bakthargal Kuzhu was behind this grand function.

MR Raamamoorthi of Vellore presided the function and the Chief Guests are B.S.Raju (Editor Urimaikural), Tirupur Ravichandran, Coimbatore Duraisamy, Dindukal Malaravan, Madurai Tamilnesan, Professor Selvakumar, Kanchi Selvam, Bangalore Mohankumar, Ravi, Palani, Ravi (another MGR Fan), Desingh, Shimoga Shivakumar, Arokonam Manavalan, Rohinikumar.

Rasheed Bai of Katpadi dressed as our beloved Leader MGR and appeared in the stage and gave a brief speech like him, it was very much enjoyed by Fans. He was awarded with MGR Laminated photo.
