As per the images the movie print looks good. The movie had much political dialogs. And one song “Thambi Naan Padichen” had hint on the politics of those days.

MGR Devotee Tirupur Ravichandran has informed me one week back that Emgeeyar Pictures Adimai Penn is running successfully in Coimbatore Royal.

Previous week the movie was in 2nd week. For the first week MGR movie collected Rs.1,30,000 and in the 13th day the total collection is Rs.2,05,000.

Below are the MGR movies that have reached 100 days and more in Coimbatore theaters.

The movies of MGR from 1947 to 1978, taking into account the movies with MGR as the lead.

 

City centres like Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, Coimbatore etc. only Coimbatore had a very low 100 days movie run. MGR Hit films for example Anbay Vaa, Kavalkaran, Nalla Neram, Pallandu Vazhga, Neethiku Thalai Vanangu, Indru Pol Endrum Vazhga and Meenava Nanban did not have a 100 day run in Coimbatore, sure not a fort for MGR movies but politically it has a strong MGR base.

Nadodi Mannan In Coimbatore

Emgeeyar Pictures Nadodi Mannan is re-released in Coimbatore Fun Cinemas. Nearly 55 year old movie Nadodi Mannan still running with full house.  MGR Devotee S.Vinod has forwarded the image below to share in our MGR Blog.

 

 

The movie is released in Qube format. This same was already released in Chennai couple of years back.

 

 

MGR Devotee Tirpur Ravichandran has sent this image of MGR’s Chakravarthy Thirumagal which is running successfully in Coimbatore Delite.

In Chennai two weeks back Oriental Pictures and MGR’s double action movie Ninaithathai Mudipavan was released as 3 shows and previous week the same movie continued for the second week as morning show in Mahalakshmi theater.

Thaedi Vantha Maapillai

Padmini Pictures and MGR colour movie Thaedi Vantha Maapillai has been re-released in Royal Theater Coimbatore. MGR Devotee Tirupur Ravichandran has forwarded some of the images from the theater.

MGR Devotee Tirupur Ravichandran has informed me that our beloved Leader MGR two movies are going to be re-released for Pongal festival.

 

One movie is Ayirathil Oruvan my favourite movie. This movie is going to be released tomorrow in Royal Theater Coimbatore.

 

 

  

 

 

How many posters with different art work. Sure Manimaran is going to rock Coimbatore.

 

Another  movie is Pallandu Vazhga in Delite theater, the movie has been released yesterday.

November Movie News

Sri MGR Year 95, 13th November, Tuesday

MGR Devotee Tirupur Ravichandran has forwarded some of the images that he had captured for the MGR movie release in Ottanchatiram and news about MGR movie release in Coimbatore theaters.

 

 

  

 

The above two posters are for the re-release of Ninathathai Mudipavan in Aruna Theater Ottanchatiram. The posters with different background looks nice.

 

He also told that he received information from his friends about MGR movie Ooruku Uzhaipavan running successfully from 6th November (till yesterday) in Royal theater with a good print. (Coimbatore people are fortunate to watch MGR movie with good print)

 

From today Olivilakku is released in Delite theater, which information we have provided earlier in our post.

 

Enga Veetu Pillai is released today in Gopikrishna, (Ayanavaram, Chennai). The ad is given in today’s Daily Thanthi Newspaper.

Sri MGR Year 95, 6th November, Tuesday

MGR Devotee Tirpur Ravichandran has forwarded some of the images relating to MGR movie re release in Coimbatore.

 

 

Southern movies Baghdad Thirudan was re-released previous week in Delite theater, the same movie was released in Royal theater couple of months back.

 

  

 

Festival time and for Deepawali festival our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR movie Olivilakku will be re-released in Delite on 13th November.

 

 

In Chennai Olivilakku made a 3 weeks run with worst print and blaring audio in Mahalakshmi theater. More news about Olivilakku in Coimbatore will be forwarded by Tirupur Ravichandran.

MGR Devotee Tirupur Ravichandran has forwarded the movie re-release in Coimbatore this month.

Kovai Velmurugan (Idayarpalayam) last one week Emgeeyar Pictures Adimaipenn was re-released.

Asai Mugam which was re-released in Delite theater previous week had 11 days of screening.

Sangay Muzhangu was re-released for 4 days in Shanmuga.

From tomorrow onwards in Royal Theater Coimbatore MGR and Savithri starrer Mahadevi is going to be re-released.

Two MGR movies are running successfully in Coimbatore. They are Asai Mugam running second week in Delite Theater. Another movie Sungay Muzhangu is re-released this week in Coimbatore Shanmuga as 4 shows.

Re Release Olivilakku III

Sri MGR Year 95, 27th September, Thursday

MGR Devotee Tirupur Ravichandran has informed me that in Coimbatore MGR’s 100th movie Olivilakku which was re-released in Royal Theater as 4 shows has collected Rs.1,75,000 for two weeks run.

From tomorrow Coimbatore Delite MGR’s black and white movie Asai  Mugam is going to re-released, this is also one of MGR’s dual action movie the story line resembles Hollywood action thriller movie Face/Off, directed by John Woo and acted by John Travolta and Nicholas Cage.

Re Release Olivilakku II

Sri MGR Year 95, 21st September, Friday

MGR’s 100th movie Olivilakku which was re-released previous week as 4 shows in Coimbatore Royal theater created another milestone of reaching successive second week. The overall collection for the first week is Rs.1,20,000.

Special mention about this movie is the first song “Acham Enbathu” which MGR have mentioned in an interview that whenever he feels down he listens to this song.

MGR Devotees Yukesh Babu and Tirupur Ravichandran has informed me about the movie re-release and the ad given in Maalai Malar.

 

This same movie has not been released for more than five years in Chennai.

Sathya Movies Deviathai is re-released as 4 shows in Coimbatore Royal theater this week.

 

 

In this movie MGR acts as CID officer.

Two MGR movies will be re-released tomorrow in Coimbatore one is Thaiku Thalai Magan in Delite and Deiva Thai in Royal theater.
