Below are some of the rare images published by Kumar Rajendran from MGR family, in internet.

 

  

MGR reading a book in his Ramavaram Garden Home. To your right is the photo from Kalaivanar NSK family album, T.A.Mathuram’s brother marriage (T.A.Gnanam with T.R.Sethulakshmi she is the sister of T.R.Ramanna and T.R.Rajakumari). The marriage was presided by Peraringnar Anna and our beloved Leader MGR.

MGR Fan Collection

Some of my MGR Fans have a good collection of MGR rare images and informations. Here in this post I am going to share their collection.

 

 

In the above image their are many photos from MGR movies. A collage of MGR movies.

 

Some of the movies I can name are:

Olivilakku (twice), Kudieruntha Kovil, Anbay Vaa, Thaiku Thalai Magan, Kudumba Thaliavan, Enga Veetu Pillai, Nadodi Mannan (thrice), Mugarasi, Adimai penn (twice) Thanipiravi.

 

In the middle of the image the press address is given, R.Paulpandian, Sri Saraswathi Picture Company, 29, Parapatti Street, Virudhunagar.

Periyar And MGR

Sri MGR Year 95, 23rd June, Saturday

A rare image of Periyar and MGR forwarded by Dhalapathi Raj, this same image was scanned and posted in Facebook by him.

Puratchi Thalaivar MGR visited Thanthai Periyar when he was admitted in C.M.C. Hospital during 1969. This above image was taken from Viduthalai and the same image was scanned and sent to me from a book to share in our MGR Blog.

Rare Images VII

Sri MGR Year 95, 24th February, Friday

 

MGR Devotee Jaisankar has forwarded some rare images with information to share in our MGR Blog.

 

 

The above images is from the movie Sri Murugan. Our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR has acted as Lord Siva. MGR  has given an interview to Filmfare magazine about the roles he liked in his movie. MGR has choosen the film Sri Murugan in this movie he has acted in a small role, Siva Thandavam dance was the highlight of the movie.

 

 

This image is from the movie Andaman Kaithi. This image was published in the biography of MGR tilted Nan En Piranthen which was published in Thai Tamil Weekly during 1988.

 

 

The above image is also from the front cover of Thai Tamil weekly magazine. The movie name is Alibabavum Narpathu Thirudargalum.

 

 

This majestic image of MGR is from the movie Rani Samyugdha. The actual image is black and white, they have coloured the image and restored in high resolution.

 

 

MGR and Janaki image coloured and published in Thai Tamil weekly as Deepavali special in 1988.

 

 

The above image of MGR and Sirgazhi Govindarajan was published in Bommai Tamil Magazine when remembering Sirgazhi Govindarajan. Notable is that MGR in his original hairstyle.

 

 

This was image published in front cover of Devi Tamil Magazine during the publication of MGR Story written by Ithayakani Editor Vijayan.

 

 

Another couple photo of MGR and Janaki published in Thai Tamil Weekly. When I observed the image in high resolution MGR was wearing 3 rings in his left hand all the rings have Gems. One ring has all the nine gems.

MGR Rare Images VI

Sri MGR Year 94, 25th November, Friday

 

MGR Devotee T.Nagar Ramamurthy has room full of MGR images from movies to politics. He has been gathering these images for his private collection.

MGR Rare Images V

Sri MGR Year 94, 23rd November, Wednesday

 

A week back I received an email from Jaisankar one of MGR fans who is regularly reading our MGR blog, he has forwarded three rare images to share this in our blog.

 

Jaisankar is an overseer (Civil Engineer) by profession and he was a great admirer of Puratchi Thalaivar MGR. His entire family is also MGR Fans.

 

He started to collect details about various news and also photographs about our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR. But the one, our Leader Ponmanachemmal MGR with the Golden sword presented to him at the time of Nadodi Mannan Vetri vizha in Thamukam Grounds, Madurai and the cover photograph of Kumudam Magazine is a treasure which he has been keeping since 1975(i.e. from his childhood).

 

He also sent another batch of photos to share due to time constraint I publish the three colour photos of MGR.

Rare Images IV

Sri MGR Year 94, 4th October, Tuesday

 

MGR Devotee Tirupur Ravichandran has forwarded three rare images of MGR to share it in our MGR blog. He has restored the image for satisfactory viewing.

 

 

The above image is taken from the book written by Vembathur Krishnan who was an Assistant Director and he worked under Director M.A.Thirumugam. Our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR lighting the Street lamps donated to Maruthamalai Murugan temple by MGR’s close friend Chinnappa Devar, who has produced 16 movies all social oriented MGR movies.

 

 

The above image is taken during the re recording of MGR movie Ithayaveenai. To the extreme left is music director Ganesh and in center is Sankar who is the son of Music Director C R Subbaraman. (Music Director C.R.Subbaraman has worked with MGR for his three movies NSK Films Paithiyakaran - 1947, Jupiter Pictures Abimanyu – 1948 and Marmayogi –1951). And Ganesh is the Son in law of G.N.Velumani.
