MGR Devotee Tirupur Ravichandran has forwarded three rare images of MGR to share it in our MGR blog. He has restored the image for satisfactory viewing.
The above image is taken from the book written by Vembathur Krishnan who was an Assistant Director and he worked under Director M.A.Thirumugam. Our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR lighting the Street lamps donated to Maruthamalai Murugan temple by MGR’s close friend Chinnappa Devar, who has produced 16 movies all social oriented MGR movies.
The above image is taken during the re recording of MGR movie Ithayaveenai. To the extreme left is music director Ganesh and in center is Sankar who is the son of Music Director C R Subbaraman. (Music Director C.R.Subbaraman has worked with MGR for his three movies NSK Films Paithiyakaran - 1947, Jupiter Pictures Abimanyu – 1948 and Marmayogi –1951). And Ganesh is the Son in law of G.N.Velumani.
