Sri MGR Year 99, 11th October, Tuesday

We mostly know how MGR have helped people in dire circumstances. Some of his help which we come to know is through books, news paper articles and acquaintance. The third kind I mentioned will present you unknown piece of information behind some incidents of MGR’s helping hand.

Couple of days back while I was conversing with R.Govindaraj (one of MGR’s bodyguard K.P.Ramakrishnan’s son) told about his recent published article in Agnimalargal. I came to know that I only possessed half the information when he narrated the incident.

When the incident happened R.Govindaraj was studying with his friend Balu in 9th standard. His father is working as the personal driver to MGR. The police came to his class and informed that MGR’s driver had met with an accident and died on the spot.

He further said that Govindan’s body was placed in ADMK party office for last respects. At that time MGR was the Chief Minister and he walked along the funeral procession, how many Leaders will exhibit this rare quality? After couple of days, MGR gave job to Govindan’s wife in Tamil Nadu Housing Board.

Below is two such unknown incidents of our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR’s unique humane nature. I requested the Sub Editor of Agnimalargal R.Govindaraj to forward his article which was published in the latest issue of Agni Malargal, for sharing with our MGR blog.

 

Forever MGR – 2

Sri MGR Year 98, 21st May, Thursday

K.P.Ramakrishnan who had acted with our beloved Leader MGR in many movies and he is also one of the five bodyguards of MGR. His son Govindaraj is a sub editor in Agni Malargal magazine. In that magazine he writes articles about Puratchi Thalaivar MGR.

From K.P.Ramakrishnan’s account Govindaraj narrates in the magazine, one such is given below which had appeared in May 2014 issue.

In the above article he mentions how MGR fans were motivated in their life and some instances from MGR’s benevolence. 

MGR The Mass Miracle

Sri MGR Year 97, 13th October, Monday

MGR’s body guard K.P.Ramakrishnan has worked as a stunt double to MGR and Nambiyar in many movies. His son Govindaraj has forwarded two articles which he had written in Agni Malargal magazine, to our MGR Blog srimgr.com.

The first article was published in February 2014 and the second article this month.

MGR the Mass Miracle article given below. He has written the topic with touching some part of the psychology MGR used. He has given much information on how much he cared for the people who come to see his movies.

  

Second article: MGR One in a Thousand

Govindaraj had written with the help of his Father K.P.Ramakrishnan and he had explained in detail some of the stunt scenes, how MGR gave an opportunity for K.P.Ramakrishnan to act in the movie with dialogues. K.P.Ramakrishnan had praised MGR and Nambiyar as they are well versed and had much more experience than the professional stunt artist.

In the above page he had explained why MGR did not participated in Anti Hindi agitation of 1965. He has also wrote about the benevolence of MGR during the shooting of Ayirathil Oruvan.

Malaysia Function 2013 Part 4

Sri MGR Year 96, 29th December, Sunday

MGR 96 function was conducted in Kuala Lumpur, Sentul convention center on 7.4.2013. MGR’s bodyguard K.P.Ramakrishnan was felicitated for his 30 years service with our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR.

His son Govindaraj has forwarded this exclusive video to share in our MGR Blog. Below is the video clip of K.P.Ramakrishnan giving a speech and honoured by YB Tan Sri Koh Tun Khoon (Minister in the Prime Minister Department).
