Seven Eleven

Sri MGR Year 96, 8th November, Friday

MGR Devotee Vinod had informed me about the release of MGR movies in November month and he also pointed out that 3 movies Thai Sollai Thatathey, Nam Nadu and Urimaikural were released on 7th of November.

I found that date and month, seven eleven or eleven seven if we consider month and date is very peculiar and when multiplied it gives 77, the year our beloved Puratchi Thalaivar became the unparalleled, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

 

All the three movies released on 7th November were super hits. Of this Urimaikural was Silver Jubilee movie.

New Organization

Sri MGR Year 96, 4th November, Monday

On 20.10.2013 in MGR resting place a new organization in the name of Aanaithulaga Makkal Thilagam MGR Pothu Nala Sangam was formed to celebrate MGR’s Centenary year, to spread the name of our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR to the next generation and to provide the support and care to the poor. As usual MGR devotees performed the pooja before the tomb and named the organization.

Sweets were distributed to the people who came to the resting place.

As part of the initial help, the organization will visit MGR studied school, Aanaiadi School, Kumbhakonam on 17.11.2013 and will provide help to the needy, the benevolent help will be provided by S.Murthy, Saidapet.

The organization will continue to provide help and support to the needy, and they will select twelve schools and orphanages and provide their support round the year.

Nadodi Mannan Film Script

Sri MGR Year 96, 31st October, Thursday

MGR Fans much anticipated book Nadodi Mannan movie dialogues published by Kannadasan Pathipagam, Chennai had hit the book stands.

Recently MGR Devotee Sailesh Basu gave this book to me to share in our MGR blog.

 

 

The book is nicely printed and bound. It has coloured MGR image and a black and white image from Nadodi Mannan. The cost of the book is Rs.100/- with 200 pages includes the dialogues, songs, snippets and the story in shorter version.

Re Release Thedi Vantha Maapillai

Sri MGR Year 96, 29th October, Tuesday

Padmini Pictures colour movie and MGR starrer Thedi Vantha Maapillai is re-released this week in Mahalakshmi theater. MGR Devotee Ilangovan has shared the below images.

Thedi Vantha Maapillai was released for the first time on 29.8.1970 all over South, directed by Panthalu, MGR character name is Sankar. Fast paced MGR action movie, a son revenging for his father’s death is the core of the story. MGR also disguises as an age old dance master who sings, dances and does a fight with cans is a memorable part of the movie.

 

  

The movie has mesmerizing songs, some are Vetri methu vetri vanthu, a philosophical song, playback by S.P.Balasubramaniam, Thottu Kattava MGR solo song (in disguise), and the famous duet song Manicka theril.
