MGR’s 100th movie Olivilakku was re-released previous week in Anna and Mahalakshmi theaters. The response was overwhelming. And now the movie is continuing his second week run in Mahalakshmi theater.

MGR And V.S.Raghavan

Sri MGR Year 95, 24th April, Tuesday

Character artist V.S.Raghavan has given an interview to Cinema Express in it he has given a short account of his relationship with MGR during his illustrious career.

 

V.S.Raghavan first acted with MGR as a Police Officer in the movie Oli Vilakku that is the 100th movie of our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR.

 

 

He also acted as Police Officer in Engal Thangam, Informer in Sirithu Vazha Vendum, Villain in Pallandu Vazhga, Father-in-law in Urimaikural and he also acted as a Minister in MGR’s last movie Maduraiyai Meeta Sundarapandian.

Olivilakku 43rd Year

20th September 2011 is the 43rd Year of release of our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR starrer movie Olivilakku. 

Yesterday MGR Devotee S.Vinod informed me that 20th September is the 43rd year of Olivilakku movie release and he requested a special post to be dedicated to our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR.

I requested him about the images and records to be sent, and the reply came on the same day. Mean while Tirupur Ravichandran also informed me about the date and provided more insight into the movie.

Box Office collection I

There is myth about the success of Oli Vilakku movie stated to be the 100^th movie of MGR, here is the proof.

Below is the Newspaper ad about the completion of 100 days in theatres such as Maduari Meenatchi, Trichy – Raja, Kumbakonam (Kudanthai) – Vijayalakshmi.

So what about Capital city Madras (Chennai) below is the paper cut of 14^th week completion in Broadway. Comes to 98 days. What happened to the last 2 days, why the movie was lifted?
