Governor’s Visit

Sri MGR Year 97, 26th February, Wednesday

16th February 2014, Melaka Governor and our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR Fan Tun Mohd Khalil bin Yaakob visited Chennai and also paid his respect in MGR Memorial in Marina beach.

MGR Devotee Sathya had captured the precious moment of video and images to share with our MGR fans and readers of MGR blog.

The Governor accompanied by his wife came to the memorial by 10.30 and spent nearly 20 minutes and paid his respects.

Before leaving the Governor shook hands with the security officers (resembling our God’s nature) and took photo. Earlier he gave a brief interview to the media.

MGR Tomb Renovation

Sri MGR Year 19th March, Monday

 

Recently the Government of Tamil Nadu under the leadership of Jayalalitha have ordered to renovate MGR tomb in Marina beach. That article was already published in our Blog.

 

Yesterday Daily Thanthi have written an article about MGR’s tomb renovation. Both Peraringnar Anna and Puratchi Thalaivar MGR’s tomb will be renovated. The Government has allotted Rs.4 Crores 30 lakhs for landscaping and Rs.3 Crores and 40 lakhs for replacing the front entrance and constructing compound wall.

 

The plan will be completed in one week, the work has been handed over to Public Works Department. The construction and renovation will be completed in 10 months time.

 

The tomb appearance will be changed in accordance with the style present in Mahatma Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi memorial. Recently the entrance was demolished and closed. People who visit MGR tomb have to enter through Peraringnar Anna square.

Renovation

Sri MGR Year 95, 7th February, Tuesday

 

Recently Tamil Nadu Government has announced that the Tombs of Late C.N.Anna Durai and MGR in Marina will be renovated at a cost of Rs.7 Crores and 70 lakhs.

 

We on behalf of MGR Devotees and MGR Fans all around the World thank Amma for ordering the renovation of both tombs.
