We have already uploaded the 190th day experience of Ayirathil Oruvan restored movie in Baby Albert theatre. In this post we will uploading the our Puratchi Thalaivar MGR philosophical song “Yen Endra Kelvi”.

The song situation is the people get frustrated of their slavery and they want to know why they get this treatment and why they have to work for him. All their questions and drudgery are answered by this song.

I noticed during the song when MGR utters the word “unarchigal “ (feelings) his throat nerves swells prominently and gives us the impression that MGR is singing the song from his heart.

 

 

The above two images shows the response from the crowd, someone in front of me stood and raised his hand in unison with our MGR on screen.

MGR reaching out to his people (us). In this song most of the time the camera is in top angle position and whole part of the first stanza the camera is in top angle and coming down, watch the song and you will know, the camera is merged with the theme of the lyrics.

Ayirathil Oruvan 101st Day – 8

This week is a memorable week for MGR devotees and fans as our Puratchi Thalaivar MGR starrer Ayirathil Oruvan restored version completes 150th day. Below is the ad to be published tomorrow in Daily Thanthi.

In this post we will be uploading two scenes from Ayirthil Oruvan, video captured during the 101st day in Albert theatre. The first video is about capturing the princess and MGR participating in the auction.

Second video captured by MGR Devotee Venkat the famous punch dialog between MGR and Nambiyar in this movie. The crowd goes crazy on hearing when Puratchi Thalaivar utters “Tholviyae Ethiriku Parisualithu pazhagiavan naan” (I have a habit of awarding defeat as gift to my enemies) needless to say the cameraman also jolted for this scene.

Ayirathil Oruvan 101st Day - 7

Sri MGR Year 97, 5th August, Tuesday

In the earlier post we had uploaded several clippings from Ayirathil Oruvan restored version captured in Albert theatre during 101st day. The clippings showed the crowd becoming crazy when they saw our Puratchi Thalaivar MGR on silver screen uttering memorable dialogues.

In this post we are uploading two scenes first is the Pirate Leader Nambiyar threatening MGR and asking him to join his sinful life. And another scene is unique MGR dialogue to give all the jewels they were given as share from looting pirate ships.

Ayirathil Oruvan 101st Day - 6

Sri MGR Year 97, 30th July, Wednesday

Padmini Pictures and our Puratchi Thalaivar starrer Ayirathil Oruvan was restored and released by Divya Films in March 2014 in over 100 plus theatres in Tamil Nadu and subsequently released all over South India and continued its release in Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE.

In Chennai Ayirathil Oruvan restored version crossed 100 days in Albert and Sathyam theatres successfully. And now the movie is continuing for 20th week. Below is the ad for 20th week.

In this post we will be uploading the reaction of MGR Fans for the dialogues of MGR and the dialogues praising MGR. The video was captured in Albert theatre on 22.6.2014 that is the 101st day.

This week our Puratchi Thalaivar MGR starrer restored version Ayirathil Oruvan is completing 19th week. We had already uploaded several videos and images captured during 101st day in Albert theatre. Compiling the videos for specific scenes takes considerable time and this post will be without videos pardon me.

Ayirathil Oruvan 101st Day – 4

Sri MGR Year 97, 15th July, Tuesday

We had already uploaded some of the videos captured inside Albert theatre on the 101st day of Ayirathil Oruvan restored version, in this post you are going to see only the output of MGR devotees and fans enjoying MGR dialogues on screen.

Above images are captured by MGR Devotee Loganathan, in the first image you can see part of crowd watching the movie and another image you can see most part of the crowd and as well as the crowd in the balcony.

Below is the video showing how much dialogues you can hear from the clip. One scene is MGR saving Jayalalitha and the famous one liners how MGR feels about his friends. Another when Jayalalitha expresses her wishes to be with him and the reply of our Puratchi Thalaivar.

And also one scene where Ramadoss threatens MGR and watch how people showed their hatred.

Ayirathil Oruvan 101st Day - 3

Sri MGR Year 97, 7th July, Monday

The restored version Ayirathil Oruvan celebrated its 100th day on 21st June 2014. A special show was screened in Albert for its 101st day to accommodate large crowd. We had already posted in three parts the images and videos of the celebration.

This post is about the enjoyment of MGR devotees and fans for the philosophical song Yen Yendra Kelvi. When the slaves asks questions to Ramadoss, MGR interferes and sings this song to lift their spirit.

Ayirthil Oruvan 101st Day – 3

We have already published the 101st day celebration of Ayirathil Oruvan restored version, done by MGR devotees in Albert theatre on 22.6.2014. In the last post we had published the title card clipping and the first scene. In this post we will be posting the court scene between MGR and R.S.Manohar.

Instead of fiery dialogues from our Puratchi Thalaivar he substantiates his facts to the Dictator who did not listens and sentences MGR and his friends to be sold as slaves.

Ayirathil Oruvan 101st Day – 2

Sri MGR Year 97, 30th June, Monday

In the previous post of 101st day of Ayirathil Oruvan restored version we had posted images of the celebrations conducted by various MGR fans association. We have also uploaded a video clipping of the function.

  

To your left is the MGR banner fully clothed with garlands a unique presentation by Bangalore MGR fans. To the right is garlands placed by Kalaiventhan MGR Bakthargal Trust.

In this post we will be uploading the theatre experience of 101st day of Ayirathil Oruvan restored version. To recap the show was housefull and extra 300 people stood watching the show.

The MGR devotees and fans thoroughly enjoyed the 101st day they clapped and whistled for every praising word on MGR. For the censor certificate also they showed their joy.

I had edited the video in certain parts to enhance the brightness to show you how many members were in front of me and how many were in the side of the balcony showing camphor when their God flickered in the silver screen.

Ayirathil Oruvan 101st Day

Sri MGR Year 97, 27th June, Friday

Our Puratchi Thalaivar starrer Ayirathil Oruvan restored version celebrated its 101st day in Albert theatre on 22.6.2014. Earlier we had posted some of the images, ads and accolades.

In this post we are updating the 101st day celebration. The function started from the resting place of MGR from 11 am. Ponmanachemmal Sri MGR Welfare Association gave annadanam to 1000 persons.

 

After the lunch MGR Devotees marched to Albert theatre making a MGR car for the procession. By 5 pm they reached Albert theatre and all other MGR associations performed pooja to their God MGR.

The reel box of Ayirathil Oruvan was taken as a procession to a nearby temple Director P.Vasu, participated in this function.

MGR Devotees from Bangalore had came to watch the movie and they had given the Bangalore touch to MGR banner which caught the attention of everybody.

Above video shows MGR devotees showing their devotion by performing pooja to the banners, abhishekam, lighting camphor, busting crackers etc.

Ayirathil Oruvan 100 Days

Sri MGR Year 97, 25th June, Wednesday

The restored version Ayirathil Oruvan which was released by Divya Films on March 14th 2014, had crossed 100 days. MGR Devotees and MGR fans recreated 1965 in Chennai.

The show was full and extra 300 persons without seats watched the movie. Each and every praising words for MGR in the movie had claps and whistles. The people behind me whistled so much that I temporarily lost my hearing.

After the great success of Ayirathil Oruvan, newspapers and the TV media were full of accolades. Below are some from the newspapers.

History Repeats

Sri MGR Year 97, 22nd June, Sunday

Today is our Puratchi Thalaivar MGR starrer Ayirathil Oruvan restored version 101st day. The landmark was celebrated with merry by all MGR Associations.

Padmini Pictures Ayirathil Oruvan which was released in 1965 had a 100 days run in three centres in Chennai. The same movie was restored and released by Divya Films Chockalingam this March 2014.

The younger generation those who are born after 1965, those who are born after MGR became Chief Minister, those who are born after our Leader’s death had an opportunity to know and experience how a 100th day celebration will be for a MGR movie.

Like many MGR fans I was also blessed to watch the movie on the 101st day of Ayirathil Oruvan restored version. Yesterday itself the booking for Albert was full and the movie was shifted to Albert to accommodate the crowd.

A light shower happened before the evening show. As usual MGR Devotees and MGR Fans performed and showed their extra ordinary devotion.
