MGR is multifaceted person, apart from his Cinema career his unexplored quality works in other fields having been updated regularly in our blog. Below is the link about an article written by MGR way back in 1961 titled Pugazhkupin .  The story posted here is an extract from his article.

Samaneethi Editor MGR

MGR Devotee Tirupur Ravichandran while conversing told me about a monthly called Samaneethi which he collected and preserved for younger generation.

MGR Birthday Function Part VI

MGR Birthday function and Platinum Jubilee of MGR in Cinema was celebrated in Chennai in Kamarajar Arangam on 30.1.2011. I have already updated in five posts previously.

 

This post is the update of MGR Function video part.

MGR Devotees Dedication

MGR Devotees and MGR Fans celebrates MGR Birthday function in grand manner all around the World. I have already provided some post regarding our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR’s birthday function.

 

 

This year MGR Devotees have celebrated the function, I have provided the images in Video format with MGR Philosophical song “Annamittakai nammai” from the movie Annamittakai.

MGR And 108 Service

Sri MGR Year 94, 15th April, Friday

 

When one say 108 nowadays it means the free Ambulance and Emergency service conducted by Government. The service was popular and the credit goes to the present Government. But the real credit should go to our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR.

 

Earlier one MGR Fan told me about the same service was operating during MGR rule. But he cannot say to me clearly what was the name and how the service was discontinued. Tirupur Ravichandran sent me the scanned image of MGR’s service which appeared in Junior Viketan this week issue.

I Will Still Vote for MGR

If MGR is still alive I will cast my vote for MGR. This is said by Pappammal from Anumanthan Nagar of Dindukal. She is 101 years old and she says that MGR is the only Leader who respected the Poor. She said this after she voted. 

 

She maybe the Oldest voter in Tamil Nadu. Full news appeared in Dinamalar Edition.

 

திண்டுக்கல் : திண்டுக்கலில், 101 வயது மூதாட்டி, ஜனநாயக கடமையாற்றினார். தற்போது எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., இருந்தால், அவருக்குத்தான் ஓட்டளிப்பேன் எனக் கூறி பெருமிதமடைந்தார். திண்டுக்கல் அனுமந்தன் நகரைச் சேர்ந்தவர் பாப்பம்மாள்(101). இவர், தள்ளாத வயதிலும், உடல் கூனி, குறுகியபோதும், பாலகிருஷ்ணாபுரம் ஊராட்சி ஒன்றிய பள்ளியில் நேற்று தனது ஓட்டை பதிவு செய்தார்.

அவர் கூறியதாவது: எனக்கு 101 வயதாகிறது. பல தேர்தல்களில் ஓட்டுப் போட்டுள்ளேன். எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., இருந்த காலத்தில் இரட்டை இலைக்குத்தான் ஓட்டுப்பதிவு செய்வேன். எம்.ஜி.ஆருக்குப் பின், என் மனதிற்கு பிடித்தமானவர்களுக்கு ஓட்டுப்போட்டு வருகிறேன். எம்.ஜி.ஆரின் பேச்சை கேட்க, காலை 4 மணி வரை காத்திருந்தேன். தற்போது யார் பேச்சையும் நான் கேட்பதில்லை. அவர் போல, ஏழை மக்களை யாரும் மதிப்பதில்லை. இவ்வாறு பாப்பம்மாள் கூறினார்.

Punch Dialogs and One Liners from MGR Movies VI

1969 movie Nam Nadu has lot of punch dialogs, I have already uploaded one punch dialog way back in August 2010 with animation. Now I have uploaded the dialog part between MGR and Rangarao.

The scene is Rangarao tries to bribe MGR and how MGR evades masterly from the evil of bribery. MGR's secret of success in Politics is felt in the punch dialog.

World Full of MGR Fans

Sri MGR Year 94, 7th April, Thursday

 

To this date our MGR blog (mgrroop.blogspot.com) has reached 290179 pages. The pages have been viewed by MGR Fans around the World. From 2005 to 2008 I found page views from Asian Countries, England, France, Denmark, Netherlands, Middle East, Canada and United States. And after 2009 there was some traffic from South American Countries and other parts of Europe, Russia and even Pakistan.

 

I have given the image counter of page views and the Countries the traffic came from.

 

 

To my astonishment I find that MGR Fans from South American Countries have visited our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR site regularly.

 

Countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and Chile have visitors reading our blog regularly.

 

 

Those who belong to the above countries listed after Sri Lanka please email our team members and let us know each other.

 

What I understand is that there are MGR fans in other part of this planet.

Makkal Thilagam MGR Book

Sri MGR Year 94, 3rd April, Sunday

 

A new book about our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR was released. The book titled “Makkal Thilagam MGR - Samuga Sirpi” authored by K.Pandian, M.A. B.L., is a retired Government servant and now practices law.

 

 

 

This is his first book and it is about MGR.

 

 

Totally One Thousand books were printed and 800 books were distributed free of cost during his Son’s marriage.

 

The Book contains 180 pages and also hosts some rare images of Makkal Thilagam MGR.

Makkal Thangam MGR Book Review

Makkal Thangam MGR a different book authored by Mekala Chitravel who has painstakingly interviewed MGR Devotees and MGR Fans around South India.

 

 

The book was different because all the books about our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR was written by close aides and personalities such as those who have worked with him in his cinema career or in Political career but this one book is about MGR Devotees point of view. Their relation and interaction with MGR.
