MGR Shrines Part II

Sri MGR Year 93, 30th October, Saturday

The Bhoomi Pooja for the construction of MGR Shrine in Nathamedu Village near Thiruninravoor, was celebrated in grand manner, earlier MGR Devotees and MGR Fans assembled before the Pooja time.

The Temple was dedicated to our Beloved Leader, Makkal Thilagam, Ponmanachemmal Sri MGR by his Devotee the Founder  Trustee L.Kalaivanan, who has formed a Public charitable Trust in the name of Arulmigu MGR Aalaiyam Arakattalai, registered in the file of Sub Registrar and the registered number is 538 of 2010. (See how the number has formed, add 5, 3 and 8 MGR’s Lucky number 7). The corner stone was laid before 7.30 am, the temple measures 1800 sq.ft.

The function was attended by MGR Devotees, Coimbatore Engineer Duraisamy, Vellore MR.Raamamoorthy, Anupandi Arumgam Madurai Tamilnesan, Khaleel Basha of Thiruvannamalai,  Kanchi Selvam and Magesh, Bangalore Ravi, Subramani, Chennai - MGR Murthy, Pandian, Chandran, Elangovan, Vimalraj, Rajkumar, Saidapet Sekar, Kumar, Iyath, Babu, Manivannan, B.S.Raju one of the Trustee of this Charitable Trust and Editor of Olikarathu Urimaikural MGR Magazine , MGR Grandson MGCB Pradeep, Poet Kasi Muthumanickam, Yukesh Babu, Sathya, Venkat, Ithayakani Magazine Editor Mr.Vijayan.

Food was arranged by the Trust and was distributed to more than 100 MGR Fans.

Nadodi Mannan Behind the scenes Part I

Nadodi Mannan one of MGR’s Magnum Opus movies and the first Emgeeyar Pictures production was in the anvil for 3 years. The movie was finally released on 22.8.1958.

 

 

I have already given a detailed view of the movie in our blog the link is given below the post for your reference. This post mainly based on the facts unknown to most MGR Devotees and Fans, MGCB Pradeep gave this idea to publish it in our blog. There are lot of images concerning the movie. M.G.Chakrapani’s Family members have preserved the images and information about Nadodi Mannan Movie. The below information were given by M.G.C.Chandran, Son of M.G.Chakrapani. The images were forwarded by M.G.C.Rajendran to MGCB Pradeep and MGCB Pradeep kindly forwarded to use it in our blog for MGR Fans.

 

 

Most of MGR Devotees and MGR Fans surely visited MGR Memorial in T.Nagar. In the First Floor of the Building a Lion carcass is kept for view with name of the Lion, that Lion is the one used in Nadodi Mannan. Actually there were two Lions trained by MGR and one Lion was very ferocious, so that the Lion was given to Zoo and the tamed animal acted with him in the movie Nadodi Mannan. But unfortunately the Lion died in half of the shooting, and MGR changed the climax of the movie to Bridge fight with P.S.Veerappa. This same plot was used in the climax of Adimai Penn by MGR, even though Adimai Penn was directed by K.Sankar.

 

 

There was a song between Nadodi MGR and Mannan MGR the voice was rendered by Tirchy Loganathan and T.M.S. The song was deleted due to the length of the movie.

The song is like Question and Answer between the King MGR and Wanderer MGR the song goes like this.

MGR Shrines

Our Beloved Leader MGR have been Idolized by MGR Devotee Nedumaran of Salem and some MGR Devotees like Kantha Srinivasan has kept the image of MGR in place of Worship and also MGR Devtoee Vijayakumar have erected MGR Shrine in G.K.M.Colony in 1990.

MGR Devotees L.Kalaivanan and K.Santhi have acquired land for the construction of MGR Temple in Thirunindravur Village which is near to Avadi. The Bhoomi Pooja will be conducted on 28.10.2010 from 6.30 to 7.30 am. 

All MGR Devotees and MGR Fans are requested to attend the function and get the Blessings of our beloved Leader.

MGR Week in Chennai

Kalaiventhan MGR Bakthargal Trust have planned to screen 7 MGR Movies this week in Mahalakshmi Theatre. 

The movies are:

Nan Enn Piranthan, Urimaikural, Ninaithathai Mudipavan, Arasakattalai, Nalai Namathey, Vettaikaran and Dharmam Thalaikakum. 3 Black and White movies and 4 Colour movies.
