Pendant and Bracelet

In some of his movies, MGR used to wear a Pendant and Bracelet. The Bracelet was engraved as MGR. It was revealed in his film a close up shot of a fighting scene in "Ulagam Sutrum Valiban" (World Trotting Youth) But the Pendant remained a mystery to me?

After his death "Ananda Vikatan" a Tamil weekly magazine published the rare photos of MGR with his family (it was last photo MGR posed in his house) in the snap MGR has opened the Pendant and inside is his Mother's photo.

MGR praised his mother always and revered her as his Protector and his God. Whenever he has to take an important decision he used his Mother's spirit and as well as his Wife spirit for the guidance.
